Jay Leno twice collided with the police car in his first appearance since the fire accident

Maybe it’s time for this car enthusiast to hire a driver and a mechanic.

Jay Leno was struck by a police vehicle multiple times as he pulled up to his comeback gig in California on Sunday — more than two weeks after suffering third-degree burns while working on a vintage car in his garage.

The 72-year-old comics and classic car fanatic hit the tire of a police jeep with the rear right tire of his Tesla while trying to park in front of a Hermosa Beach comedy club, video shows.

Leno then reversed for inexplicable reasons and collided with the car a second time.

“You can just go, we’ll find out later,” the star-strucked cops told the A-lister after his wife, Mavis Leno, rolled down her passenger window to speak to them.

Leno then struggled to perform a simple parking job, opting to parallel park in front of the Comedy Magic Club rather than simply drive into the wide-open spot while paparazzi and fans looked on.

The former “Tonight Show” host had to shift gears four times to get to the finish and almost hit the curb at one point, according to a video of the rude arrival released by Lion’s Share News.

Despite the awkward appearance, Leno was full of smiles and jokes as he exited his vehicle, looking unharmed despite his severe ordeal.

“Did I rub your tire?” he asked the police officers standing in front of the car before bending down to inspect his vehicle for possible damage.

“You can just go, we’ll clarify that later,” the police officers said to Leno.

“Yes, no, it’s fine,” Leno said before delivering self-deprecating jokes to the paps.

“The National Inquirer got the story completely wrong. They said I was in the hospital because Nancy Pelosi hit me in the head with a hammer. That didn’t happen,” he said dryly.

“We have two shows tonight: regular and extra crispy,” he said when asked about his nerves.

This indecency came more than two weeks after Leno suffered third-degree burns while working on a classic car in his garage.

“I never saw myself as a toasted comedian,” the prankster continued.

Leno, who has performed at the club almost weekly since 1992, received a standing ovation from a sold-out crowd, according to Entertainment Tonight.

His injuries occurred while he was repairing a clogged fuel line on his 1907 White Steam Car, when gasoline splashed on his face and hands and a spark set off an explosion, he told TMZ.

Leno was treated at the Grossman Burn Center for 10 days and recovered at home for six more days before returning to work on the stage.
