Janet Jackson Announces 2023 Together Again Tour Dates

Janet Jackson is ready to tour again.

The music icon announced dates for her Together Again tour next year – her first since 2019.

“Guys I miss you guys so much, I’m so excited to see you guys,” she gushed over the news in an Instagram video on Monday.

“You have no idea, I’ve missed you guys so much, so much, and I can’t wait to be with you. I’m so excited.”

The tour will visit 33 cities – including Toronto, Atlantic City, Detroit and Atlanta – across North America, beginning April 14 in Hollywood, Florida.

Rapper Ludacris will support them and tickets for the show will go on sale from December 16th.

The tour is named after a song from their 1997 album The Velvet Rope.

“The Velvet Rope” included themes such as same-sex relationships, BDSM, domestic violence and family trauma.

“I do not think so [my fans] I was expecting it at all because it was completely different than what I’d done in the past,” she told the New Zealand Herald of the album last October. “I think it really surprised her, but … it’s something I really had to do for myself.”

The LP was a commercial and critical success in the 1990s, debuting at number 1 in the US and selling over 4 million copies worldwide.

The Grammy winner also paid tribute to her 1986 album cover, Control, at last month’s Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony.

Jackson channeled her retro look by rocking an all-black Christian Siriano outfit. The Poetic Justice actress wore a high-necked black button-down jacket and matching wide-leg trousers. She even sported a wild and curly hairstyle similar to her cover.

Siriano, 37, even called Jackson his “muse” earlier this year, telling Page Six: “Janet is the most elegant, chic … these new celebs – don’t even start with me – [Janet] is so beautiful, thank me every day. I say, ‘You’re Janet Jackson. I’ll do anything for you.’

“She is so adorable and amazing – posting on Instagram and tagging me and supporting me was just so nice. I dress a lot of people and they don’t always do that,” added the Project Runway graduate.
