Jada Pinkett Smith has admitted she’s done some crazy things for love. But the Another world Alum shared that she took things a bit too far when Will Smith drove her to jump off a roof. An action she admitted could have ended in breaking her neck.
Will Smith once banned the use of profanity between himself and Jada Pinkett Smith
Jada Pinkett and Will Smith established rules with each other regarding arguments. In a candid interview with Conversation at the Red Table, Smith once spoke about the prohibition of profanity in disputes with his wife. He set those limits after Jada Pinkett once told him to “shut up” during a party with 20+ guests. An angry Smith asked to speak privately with Jada Pinkett after the incident.
“We went into the other room and I said, ‘Yada, that’s the deal: I grew up in a household where I saw my father slap my mother in the face, and I’m not going to own a house, a room, don’t create a home interaction with a person where there is profanity and violence,’” Smith recalled. “‘If you have to talk to me like that, we can’t be together. We will not use profanity in our interactions. We will not raise our voice. We will not be violent. I can not do this.'”
That independence Day star shared that he was ready to leave the relationship to stand up for his beliefs. But that wasn’t necessary since Jada Pinkett agreed to the compromise.

Jada Pinkett shared a similar view with her husband regarding arguments. Matrix Reloaded The actor once confided in Your Tango that they both have very similar temperaments. Because of this, they can’t afford to get really mad at each other. Instead, they have a more civilized approach to combat.
“We learned very early in our relationship that we’re two volatile people and we can’t fight that way. And now we’ve gotten past that point. We disagree, but we don’t argue,” she explained.
However, there was one instance where Smith was upset with her earlier in their relationship. Jada Pinkett once went to extreme means to confess her love to her husband. The actor later described the action as the craziest thing she had ever done for love.
“I jumped off a rooftop into a pool in Jamaica not knowing I could break my neck! I was very mad and Will was mad at me. He was sitting in a lounge chair when he saw me fall out of the sky screaming, ‘I love you, Will,'” she said.
However, after the stunt, Smith could not sustain his anger for long.
“He tried his best to stay angry, but he couldn’t. He’s nuts,” she revealed.
Will Smith doesn’t consider himself married to Jada Pinkett Smith
There were several instances where power couple Smith almost quit. But even though they were on the verge of a divorce, the couple managed to keep their bond alive. It’s gotten to a point where there’s nothing Jada Pinkett could do to end the relationship for Smith.
“We don’t even say we’re married anymore. We refer to ourselves as life partners, where you come into that space where you realize you’re literally with someone for the rest of your life,” Smith once told Tidal’s rap radar.
Jada Pinkett shared the same opinion about her marriage. Although she revealed there was only one thing she would not tolerate in their relationship.
“If he did something bad to the kids, now we have a problem,” she once said, according to US Weekly.
