Is Fortnite down? Online monitoring of server status, maintenance and downtime

If you’ve played Fortnite long enough, you know that the hugely popular game requires regular updates, patches, and downtime to keep it running smoothly on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and all other platforms. In this post, you can monitor the server status 24 hours a day.

The free-to-play battle royale version of Fortnite is enjoyed by millions of players around the world every day and, as mentioned, is regularly updated. Every week the developers release at least one major patch or content update.

While planned maintenance and downtime like these are usually known well in advance, unplanned downtime, server crashes, urgent hotfixes, and more can cause the Epic Games title to stop working unexpectedly.

The Fortnite servers can often experience large-scale failures.

Is Fortnite down right now?

Fortnite has experienced a widespread outage December 29, 2021. This disruption will prevent players from logging into the game and connecting to the matchmaking servers.

Epic is aware of the issue and has already started investigating the possible cause.

Fortnite server status

As you have probably already deduced, if the service is as “Ready to use‘ in green text should mean that there are no issues that may affect your experience in the game. If you’re still having problems, they’re more likely to be caused by you than Fortnite.
