The American medical drama has graced NBC’s screens since 2015, inviting us to push open the doors of the fictional Gaffney Chicago Medical Center and peek inside the doctors and nurses who have become trusted friends.

Yes, the new episodes of Chicago Med, Fire and PD are scheduled to premiere on Wednesday, March 22, 2023.
The show had previously been on quite a long hiatus after the twelfth episode of each season premiered on Wednesday, January 18, 2023.
So, audiences are essentially holding another break, which is expected to last a couple of weeks.
When they will be back, Chicago Med will air at 8:00 p.m. ET, Chicago Fire at 9:00 p.m. ET and Chicago PD at 10:00 p.m. on NBC.
Waiting for renewal
Fans will wonder if the three shows have been renewed for new seasons.
Unfortunately, neither NBC nor the showrunners have announced that the respective shows have been renewed.
However, it has yet to be confirmed how many episodes the current seasons will consist of, so it’s probably too early to expect anything concrete.
“We have no plans at the moment”
Showrunner Derek Haas was recently interviewed by Looper and asked if there were any plans to bring Jesse Spencer back as Matt Casey.
“We love Jesse Spencer 1,000%. It was absolutely amazing to have him back as he always wants to come and honor us and his Chicago Fire friends and family. He’s one of the family.”
He continued: “But we don’t have any plans at the moment [to bring him back again]. He’s an extremely busy actor who can walk on pretty much anything he wants to walk on. The invitation is always there from our side, but at the moment there are no plans.”
Chicago Med, Fire and PD is new on Wednesday March 22, 2023.
