The section titled “iPhone parts and service history” will include warnings about items from third parties.

Users will see a warning sign and the phrase “unknown party” next to anything coming from a third party, Forbes report.

Once the update has been installed, you can go to Settings > General > About to view your iPhone’s parts and service history.

iPhone 12 and 13 users will be able to see if the battery, screen, or camera has been replaced.

In a statement, Apple said: “Information about parts and service history is collected and stored by Apple as part of device information maintained for your iPhone.

“This information is used for service needs, safety analysis, and to improve future products.”

When updating their devices, users should make sure their iPhones are backed up and that they are connected to WiFi.

Open Settings, tap “General” and then “Software Update”.

The update may appear on the screen if it’s ready for your phone, and you can tap “Install Now” to download it.

The new operating system also has a feature designed to protect children from receiving sexually explicit photos.

It works by scanning Messages for possible nude photos and blurring them out of view.

Image attachments that are suspected of containing nudity will be blurred and appear with a warning.

NEW UPDATE

If the child tries to send a nude photo of themselves, the photo will also be blurred.

Users are being encouraged to enable life-saving features such as the emergency SOS tool.

It will individually ring the emergency number for your area and send your location to your contacts.

If you have an iPhone 8 or later, you need to hold the power button and one of the volume down keys at the same time.

You will see “Emergency SOS” pop up on the screen and it will start counting down for a few seconds before ringing emergency services.

The user must hold both buttons. If you have set up a list of emergency contacts, it will send them your location after your call with emergency services ends.
