Your iPhone is full of tricks you probably didn’t know about.

Apple has buried hidden features inside iMessage, Safari, and even the Calculator app.

You can use your iPhone for years and still not learn all its secrets.

Thankfully, TikTok creator @letsdodiz shared 5 smart iPhone hacks that every Apple fan should know.

The video has garnered over 50,000 likes, so it’s very popular.

The first tip is to do with iMessage.

If a chat gives you too many notifications, you can hide notifications.

Simply go to the main chat feed, then long-press on the chat you want to hide and click Hide Alerts.

The second trick works similarly, using the same method for pinning chats.

This allows you to always lock your favorite chats at the top of iMessage.

The third trick is to hack Safari.

Start typing the web address, then press and hold the full stop icon.

This will bring up a bunch of common domain finalizers, like .com or .net.

It’s a quick way to complete your web address.

Holding down the spacebar can help you complete the site name.

The fourth trick is hidden inside Apple’s Calendar app.

If you’ve made a mistake, you don’t have to delete everything and start over.

You can use your finger and perform a swipe motion to erase individual digits.

The fifth trick is to use a little-known Apple app called Measure.

Bonus iPhone tip – scan ANY text

Your iPhone is equipped with a handy tool that allows you to quickly upload the contents of a menu or newspaper to your mobile phone instantly.

First, make sure you’ve updated to the latest iOS version – go to Settings > General > Software Update to check.

Live Text lets you point your iPhone camera at a real-world object and quickly copy and paste text on it to your handheld device.

It can help you jot down notes on a whiteboard at the end of a meeting or class at school, or transcribe handwritten notes of a family recipe.

Grab an object with the text you want to scan and open the Camera app on your iPhone.

Point the camera at the subject, then tap the indicator that appears at the bottom right of your screen. It looks like lines of text surrounded by a box.

When you touch it, the text will pop out on your screen and you are given the option to copy, select, look up, translate or share it.

For instance, you can copy and paste it into an email or Note, or share it with your friends via WhatsApp or Facebook Messenger.

You can also use Live Text on photos already in your photo library.

Just open a photo in the gallery app and tap and hold a piece of text in the photo to select and highlight it.
