Investigations are underway after a man was shot dead during a fight at Brenda’s Taqueria early Saturday morning, police said

STAFFORD, TX (KTRK) — Police say an investigation is underway after a man was killed in a fight at a taqueria early Saturday morning.

At 2:39 a.m., officers responded to a shootout at Block 12400 of US 59 Feeder Road.

Upon arrival, police witnesses said there was some sort of fight between two groups before the shots were fired at Brenda’s taqueria.

Investigators found a dead man about 100 yards north of the restaurant on the sidewalk just outside a Rooms To Go store.

Police said they believe the victim belonged to one of the groups.

At the crime scene, the front door of Brenda’s Taqueria is seen completely shattered, although it appears to be left open.

No one is in custody at this time. This is an evolving story.

Up to $5,000 is offered for information leading to the indictment and/or arrest of the suspect(s).
