It’s that time of year again where we start working on all the do-it-yourself home projects we’ve been doing since Christmas.
A do-it-yourself lady shows how easy it is to bring new life to your stair railing with this simple trick.
TikTok users diywithemmma shared the hack online where it went viral with over three million views.
Her clever trick means no paintbrush is needed and it makes painting your stair railing a whole lot quicker.
For the time being, Emma took a rubber glove and put it on.
Then Emma took a clean old sock and put it on top of a rubber glove.
She simply took the paint can and dipped her hands (protected by gloves and rubber socks, of course) into the basin.
Then she started coating the railings with her hands, and it made painting them a lot quicker than trying to use a paintbrush.
Users love the simple DIY hack by Emma, a writer; “Love this. I also use it for dusting!”
Another user said: “Amazing! I’m drawing right now. I’ll try this!”
Emma also shared another hack To make decorating your stairs much easier, before repainting it is best to sand the wood so that the paint really sticks and doesn’t streak.
To do this, Emma takes a sheet of sandpaper and a washing glove, which she uses as stencils and cuts the sandpaper to the size of her hand.
Then the mother used double-sided tape to secure the sandpaper to the glove so that the baby could easily wrap his hand around the railing and give the sand quickly.
