I’m a survivor with top-secret access to nuclear bunkers and months of food supplies in the event of war

A survivor revealed his nuclear war bunker plan and said every household should be prepared.

Frank Deegan has at least three months’ worth of groceries stored at his home and has urged others to stock up on non-perishable groceries.

The ex-Navy man from Co Kilkenny, Ireland, also said he was aware of four nuclear bunkers in his country and had access to one of the privately owned ones.

He said: “I’m sure like all other governments around the world all governments have been actively restocking their bunkers in the last seven days.

And while he’s “sworn to secrecy” over his friend’s location, he insisted, “I have the password and security keys to access it.

“They have never been activated. But I can put up with it. It’s totally private, he built it himself.

“If there’s an absolute end-of-life scenario, it will be survival of the fittest, and people prepared like us, and the rest will just hope the government takes care of them.”

Frank, who is a member of the Irish Survivalist Group, said nuclear war was something he never thought would actually happen until the conflict between Russia and Ukraine escalated.

In addition to the bunker route, Frank has at least three months’ supply of food in his own house and his own water supply.

He also uses an HF frequency communication device that works even when phone lines are down, like in Ukraine, to communicate with fellow survivors.

He said: “Survival is basically when you’ve lost your house and the next morning there’s nothing left but what you’re in, without relying on the government, how you get from A to B to C and how you’re going to do it you eat and how do you survive the cold – it’s freezing out there at the moment.

“You have nothing but what you stand in. Can you light a fire to warm yourself, that’s a question to think about.

“I asked a woman this morning how much food you have in the house if, for example, it has snowed and we have three meters of snow and you cannot come out.

“How much food do you have in your house this second? She said about two days worth.

“You’d stretch that out to four or five days, but then you’re stuck.”

Frank continued, “We’re taunted all the time, for years, and then when something really happens, there’s redemption.

“What if it happens, what if it happens?”

He added, “Better to be prepared and not use it than want it and not have it.”
