LOTTO players dream of the day they find the winning ticket and what they can do with the millions of possibilities to win.

Whether it’s a spontaneous vacation, or finally starting their own business, but what about dreams come true? Lottery advisor Andy Carter spilled the beans.

In tonight’s lottery draw, the lucky winners could receive up to £10,000 a month, for 30 years, over National Lottery for Life.

There is a one in 139,838,160 chance to win National Lottery top cash prizes and if you’re lucky enough, there’s a whole process to help you through the spectacular transition to becoming a millionaire.

Lottery advisor Andy Carter told Metro What happens to the winner: from the moment you discover your life-changing victory to choosing the color that best suits your brand new supercar.

The first day

If you won the jackpot in tonight’s draw at 7:30pm, you should call the number on the back of your ticket or on the confirmation email if you’re playing online.

Your details will then be passed on to Andy, who will then call you back to find out the logistics.

They will check your personal information such as verifying your identity and bank account details to receive your winnings.

The most important part of the call is to check your health and help you handle the crazy change that is about to happen after you win.

“That phone call has two parts,” Andy said. “One is I’m just telling you how things are going, but I’m actually calling to check on you because you usually get a big shock.”

Two days later

Once you’ve had some time to think about how you’re going to manage your winnings, Andy will visit you at home.

His team will triple-check all your paperwork, make sure your ticket is real, and verify you’re the one who bought the winning ticket.

This can take up to an hour for Andy to receive confirmation that everything is fine.

Andy will then deposit the winnings to any bank account of your choice and the funds will arrive in your account within two business days.

“It’s kind of weird actually because some people want to get over it quickly, others just need to take their time and learn it first,” Andy said.

“We go at their pace.”

Next show

The logistics of receiving your money is just the “starting step” of a long journey for Lottery winners.

Two or two weeks after millions have entered your account, Andy will hold several meetings with legal and financial advisors to get you through.

But on top of this continued support, the National Lottery believes it’s extremely important to support winners with their mental health.

Winners are also provided with a life coach to help them make big decisions, whether it’s the country you go on vacation to, the kind of supercar you treat yourself to.

Andy said: “People are really going through a tremendous change, they’ve had a huge shock.

“This is why the winners are also awarded a life coach, which they can share with the whole family if they so choose.

“Winning the lottery gives you lots and lots of opportunities to do a lot of great things but it takes a little getting used to.”

Winners also have access to this financial, legal and welfare support for the rest of their lives.

Concierge service

While the winning process may sound a bit daunting, Andy has a point to remind winners how to make the most of exciting, fun news.

He often suggests that winners do one (slightly impulsive) thing, like take a vacation or do something you’ve always wanted while considering how to spend the rest.

He also says that most people really can’t figure out how to start falling in love like a millionaire, so Andy always connects winners with a concierge to help them.

He said: “If [you] want to go to a sold-out concert or [you] want to rent a private jet to take [your] family vacation, there are experts on that. “

Andy also said that “the best thing [winners] What you can do is have a cup of tea with another lottery winner. “

“If something happens to you in your life, you usually know someone else who has been through it,” he said.

“But there have only been 6,000 lottery millionaires since the birth of the National Lottery.

“Our job is to put [new winners] contact other winners and make sure they have access to that support. “

The effectiveness of the National Lottery’s support is showing the new winners “how sensible our winners have been,” Andy added.

“As soon as the 2008 financial crisis hit, people had a different view of money,” he said.

“So we find that people take it slow as they grow into their wealth because it takes time for them to get used to it.”

Current £3 million still unconfirmed by six winning tickets.

Those lucky jackpot winners were completely unaware of their lucrative winnings – a total of £3,213,810, plus the Set For Life prize, still unclaimed.

Ticket holders have a certain deadline to claim their tickets, after which, the money will be turned out to good causes.
