CLEANING WHEN YOU GO

“So my first tip is to be kind to your future and tidy as you go,” Emily said in a videotapes shared with her nearly 750,000 YouTube subscribers.

“Don’t leave it for later,” she insisted.

“If there’s something you can clean up while you’re also doing something else, be sure to do it.

“For example, if I’m cooking, I make sure I don’t have downtime.

“If something’s boiling or there’s something in the oven, I’ll wash the dishes or wipe as I go.”

She also said she likes to set up the vanity in the bathroom or mop the floor while her kids are in the shower.

DO THE SIMPLE THINGS

Next, Emily introduces her 5-minute rule and her one-touch rule.

Explaining the first, she says, “If you see a task in front of you and it only takes five minutes to do, do it now.”

This can be as simple as cleaning out the bin drawer in your kitchen.

“And the one-touch method is what I’m also trying to use, and that’s removing an item with a single touch,” she continued.

“For example, if you’re brushing your hair and you put the brush down somewhere and it eventually comes back where it was, instead of doing so, you just comb the hair and then put the brush back where it was. . ”

She explains that this also works with coats when you walk into the house.

Instead of throwing them on the nearest chair, put them where they belong.

CLEAN CLOCKWISE

“My next tip is one that professional cleaners use, which is to walk the room and clean it clockwise and top to bottom,” instructs Emily.

“So instead of walking into a room and being overwhelmed by how messy it is, run here, there, and everywhere trying to clean it up the best you can, walk into a room, choose a starting point, and then work your way clockwise. ”

Second, Emily said to clean from top to bottom because the dust will settle.

So if you start cleaning from the bottom, dust from higher places will drift down to the parts below and make them dirty again.

This is exactly how Professional cleaner Amber Elise cleans the fridge: up to down.

DOUBLE THAT

Moving into the laundry room, Emily says it’s helpful to fold clothes immediately after the dryer buzzes.

“I find that when I do that, I get less wrinkles on our clothes,” she notes.

This also prevents her from needing to iron her clothes as often.

LABEL CHECK

Emily’s fifth free tip is to check the ingredient list and bottle label cleaning instructions.

“Now I know that sounds really simple and obvious, but let’s be honest: How often do you do it?” she asked the question.

“And some cleaning products require a stay time, which means they need to stay on your surface for one to five minutes to really disinfect properly.”

Emily is just one of hundreds of cleaning professionals and experts trying to help people keep their homes neat and orderly.

For example, expert Neat Caroline revealed how Clean an entire bathroom in just 10 minutes and clean up your living space in just a year.

Plus, another cleaning expert revealed her crush lime ball recipe That means keeping any place with running water smelling fresh between deep cleans.
