Sue Cleaver has called the “hardest” thing she’s experienced I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here!

The actor – best known for playing Eileen Grimshaw Coronation Street – became the third housemate to be chosen from the ITV reality series.

Cleaver screamed with delight when she was eliminated on Monday’s (November 21) episode.

Discussing her experience on the show, Cleaver said that being exposed to the “unknown” “affected her mentally,” explaining that it was the hardest thing she had to deal with during her time on the show.

“You take away every element of control and you’re constantly faced with the unknown, it really affects you mentally,” she said. “That was the hardest thing for me.”

Speaking further about other challenges on the show, the 59-year-old added: “You literally look at the sun and try to figure out what time it is.

“You’ve lost all sense of time, you’re not sleeping. It’s very confusing and I don’t think you realize it by watching the show. It’s a really hard hit.”

However, she said she “absolutely loved” the “camp life.”

Cleaver concluded, “The only thing the world will see about me is that I don’t have a filter. You completely forget the cameras are there.”

Her elimination followed that of broadcaster Charlene White, who departed on Friday (November 18). A place in the Sun Presenter Scarlette Douglas on Sunday (November 20).

During her time on the show, Cleaver shared the extraordinary story of being reunited with her birth mother.

Speaking to Ant and Dec for their exit interview, Cleaver praised her “jungle husband” Mike Tindall and expressed her desire for Lioness football star Jill Scott to win the competition.
