Matt Hancock was further seen by a paramedic I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here! after being stung by a scorpion.

During Sunday’s (November 13) episode, attendees were gathering wood for camp when Hancock cried out in pain.

“Ouch, shit! That really hurts!” he yelled. “I don’t have a splinter. Ouch, that really hurts… it’s like something bit me. Oh yeah! Wow, look at that, a scorpion. I was stung by a scorpion.”

He continued, “It was so painful … it hurts a lot and I’m slightly dizzy. s***.”

Hancock said the sting felt like “twice a bee sting.”

Boy George commented through suppressed giggles, “Of all people who could be stung by a scorpion. I mean, I don’t laugh…”

Hancock was then immediately selected to conduct the “House of Horrors” Bushtucker Trial. He told Ant and Dec that his finger was “really painful” and it still hurts.

The moderators made it clear that the deputy had been told by the camp doctor that he was fine.

An ITV spokesman said The Independent Earlier on Sunday: “Matt got his finger stung by a scorpion at camp today. It wasn’t toxic and he was seen immediately by a paramedic and is absolutely fine.”

Earlier this week, Hancock told celebrities at the camp he was looking for “forgiveness.”

The former health secretary became emotional after being criticized for breaking his own lockdown rules in Friday’s (11 November) episode.

When TV presenter Scarlette Douglas asked him why he broke the rules, Hancock told her he was sorry, saying, “I fell in love with someone.”

He told his roommates that he wasn’t fined for the act because he “didn’t break any laws,” adding, “Leadership is different. But the problem was that it was my guidance.”
