I’m a Celebrity: How Much Will Contestants Be Paid This Year?

i am a celebrity… Get me out of here! has returned for a brand new series with a fresh cast of contestants.
The ITV series is taking place in Wales rather than Australia for the second year running due to the pandemic
The trial began last week with a record-breaking episode in which broadcaster Richard Madeley and Saturday singer Frankie Bridge led two teams in the first Bushtucker trial. Madeley has since been forced to leave the series after being hospitalized as a “precautionary measure” for health reasons.
While many viewers usually express sympathy for the contestants as they take on these challenging trials, it’s important to remember that they paid good money to be on the show.
How much does each celebrity make for their appearance on the reality series? The full amount hasn’t been officially announced, but it appears to be this year’s highest-paid star Good morning Britain Co-host Madeley.
Madeley will reportedly take home £200,000 for his performance, which is less than two of last year’s contestants: Mo Farah (£300,000) and Vernon Kay (£250,000).
That supports claims that producers are spending less on talent than in previous years, possibly due to pandemic-related cuts.
In 2019, Caitlyn Jenner earned £500,000 for her performance and winner Harry Redknapp took home the same amount in 2018.
In the same year, Noel Edmonds was reported to have been paid £600,000 for his brief stint in 2018, making him the highest-paid celebrity of all time.

Based on the payments of the previous year, this can be deduced Emmerdale Star Danny Miller will be paid around £75,000 for his performance.

Meanwhile, Olympic jumper Matty Lee and Paralympian Kadeena Cox, MBE, are expected to have their salaries around the £50,000 mark.
In previous years, retired footballer and pundit David Ginola might have earned more than this year, factoring in those alleged pandemic-related cuts. In 2019, Ian Wright secured £400,000 for his performance.
The same goes for bridge. In 2019, Girls Aloud star Nadine Coyle earned £250,000, which means Bridge’s salary is unlikely to fall too far behind Madeley’s.
