Aside from being a TikTok-famous cleaning guru, Carolina McCauley from Australia is also a mother of two – and definitely knows a thing or two about sleepless nights.

However, there is a simple fix – and it’s all about how tidy your bedroom is.

The first tip, according to the whiz kid, is to change sheets and pillowcases — this should be done once a week.

For the ultimate sleep experience, Carolina also recommended adding a few drops of lavender essential oil to the load in the washing machine.

This heavily scented oil is widely known for its sleep-promoting properties, search suggestions.

A clean mattress is just as important as fresh bed linen – dust and dead skin cells can easily become one fertile soil for allergy-causing bacteria.

This, Carolina says, can be remedied by removing the sheets and vacuuming — a cleaning that people should incorporate into their routine every three to six months.

The mother-of-two also revealed how much dirt and dust she found after going over her mattress with a compact handheld vacuum.

In recent months, LED lights — from neon pink to ocean blue — have become all the rage thanks to TikTok and Instagram.

But while it seems every teenager and young adult has decorated their bedroom with these bright streaks, artificial light is shown to confuse the human body disrupted sleep cycles.

If possible, cover the lights – even the little blinking ones on your laptop and TV; Carolina used small dark stickers.

Despite the hacks, not everyone was impressed. One critical user commented, “Lavender can induce lucid dreams, so use with caution if you intend to use this essential oil on linens.”
