Iggy Azalea sells eight-figure music catalog to Domain Capital

Iggy Azalea has reportedly sold 100 percent of her stake in her master recording and publishing catalog in an eight-figure deal with Domain Capital.
The deal includes full rights to the Australian rapper’s existing music catalogue.
This collection includes her #1 hits “Fancy” (starring Charlie XCX), “Black Widow” (starring Rita Ora) and “Problem” (starring Ariana Grande).
A source close to the deal tells billboard that it includes “an additional trigger” that would allow Azalea to earn future earnings from master recordings.
The music artist’s manager, Reece Pearson, and her attorney, Peter Paterno, are said to have arranged the deal.
Azalea’s discography consists of her four albums, The new classic (2014), survive the summer (EP, 2018), To my defense (2019) and her latest 2021 release entitled The end of an era.
Azalea, born Amethyst Amelia Kelly, apparently confirmed the news on Twitter, again sharing screenshots of billboards Article.
While the 32-year-old musician has released her previous music under deals with Virgin EMI and Island Records, Azalea has since launched her own label, Bad Dreams.

According to the source, the label, formerly distributed by Empire, is in the process of finalizing a deal with a new distribution company.
At the moment, Azalea owns 100 percent of their self-founded label and will be able to own their masters and release all future music by Q1 2023.
After a brief career hiatus following her 2021 album to pursue “other creative projects”, Azalea announced her return to music earlier this year, with future plans of releasing a new full project sometime in 2023.
