Ian Wright says ‘very good manager’ Tottenham are reportedly looking to be contenders for Manager of the Year

Ian Wright has spoken widely about Brighton & Hove Albion head coach and Tottenham Hotspur manager Roberto De Zerbi and the work he does for his European side.

The Arsenal legend believes Roberto De Zerbi is “in the running” to be named the Premier League’s “Manager of the Year” as he says he is getting closer to his goal, Brighton for the first time in Premier League history to lead to a European Cup victory PL productions (05/14/23 at 7:20 p.m.).

The 43-year-old was appointed Brighton manager back in September after Graham Potter joined Chelsea and the Seagulls drew 3-3 away at Liverpool – it would be the beginning of the future.

Since then, the south coast club have amazed home crowds and opposition fans alike with their attacking and bold style of play.

It didn’t just result in players left, right and center getting kudos. But their manager is now the target of others and Tottenham have expressed an interest in the Italian.

As for style of play, it’s exactly what Tottenham are looking for and Wright believes the Brighton man will be ‘in demand’ by the end of the season.

“I’m really happy for him because we know he’s moved around a bit in Italy,” Wright said. “I think about five jobs.

“He learns something new on each of these trips. You’re going to the Premier League. You hear people say, “He doesn’t have the experience, he doesn’t have this, and he doesn’t have that.”

“He’s a very good coach. Good backroom team. Good people up in Brighton and they just let him get on with the coaching and what they were doing. Now we see someone who will be a sought-after coach.

“He must be in the running for manager of the year given what he’s done at Brighton – you have to say it’s an incredible achievement so far.” You can see he’s a very good manager and hope that he continues this success.”

BRIGHTON’S PLAYING STYLE UNDER DE ZERBI

On Sunday, after conceding five goals against relegation-threatened Everton, Brighton stuck out their chests loudly and proudly at Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal.

Not only did Brighton deserve the three points, they were bosses of a side that had spent most of the season at the top of the table. You couldn’t live with them!

Many have spoken out about Brighton’s style of play, their prowess on the ball and the way they’ve been coached, including Pep Guardiola, who declared they are the “best team in the world” when it comes to striking from behind play.
