She intended to buy specially selected athletic shoes and resell them for a profit.

She said: “I start with just £100 and work my way up to £10,000.”

She started by buying a used blue Jordan Racer sneaker for £100.

She ironed out the creases in the front and gave the bottoms a thorough cleaning before reselling them for £156.

After the PayPal fee and the shipping costs, she had already made a tidy profit of £46.78.

Next, she bought a pair of £50 red Jordans and managed to sell them, doubling her original £100 investment to almost £200.

On her third sale, she bought a pair of black and white Nike Dunks from a shop and managed to resell them for £195, ending the third sale with £287.55 to play with.

She continued this until she reached transaction 13 of the experiment, when she bought a pair of rare Jordans for £375 and resold them for £545.

She has a whopping £998 to help push the experiment forward.

Other TikTokers were keen to learn their tricks of the trade.

One said, “How do you get them so cheap?”

To which she replied, “These were eBay, just have to keep an eye out!”

Another asked, “Surely it doesn’t make sense that the person selling them would have sent them to camp x himself for more money?”

To which she replied, “Some people just want a quick payout!”

For amateurs looking to make some money, there were some shoes that she suggested keeping as they would likely appreciate in value.

But be careful – there is obviously no guarantee that you would make a profit by trying the same thing.
