The plan key worker couple now plan to stick with their day jobs after working through the entire pandemic.

Mark, who was previously the hotel’s night manager, said: “I want to keep working. I’m in a job that I really love and I get along very well with my colleagues. .

“We are planning to help the family with money and buy a house with a nice garden. We want to be in this area.

Mark has bought an Audi Q5 and also wants to take a “once-in-a-lifetime trip” to see the British Lions at Australia 2025.

He added: “The rest of the money will be a good nest when we retire. Now the pressure will ease and we don’t need to work overtime.”
