‘I really need you’: Graham Roberts reacts to Gary Lineker’s Tottenham tweet

Graham Roberts was not happy with Gary Lineker’s accusation that Harry Kane failed to win a trophy at Tottenham Hotspur after joining Bayern Munich.

Before Harry Kane made his Bayern Munich debut in the German Supercup against RB Leipzig on Saturday night, he had a chance to win the cup, which ended in a 3-0 defeat.

But Gary Lineker initially fretted over Tottenham’s lack of trophies Twitter and how “he was able to win more trophies in one day than in more than a decade at Spurs.”

Of course that didn’t happen, but those comments still didn’t sit well with a Spurs legend.

There was a lot of buzz about how prolific Kane was at the London club but that has meant he hasn’t won anything and that’s one reason he left.

Of course, it’s not his own fault as managers, his own teammates and Daniel Levy’s decisions all play a part.

“It looks like @HKane could well be in the @FCBayernEN squad for the DFL Super Cup tonight,” said Lineker. “He could win more trophies in one day than in more than a decade at Spurs.”

To which Roberts replied: “Spurs fans really need you right now.”

Will Kane return to the Premier League?

The 30-year-old has signed a four-year deal with the German giants with a goal of winning everything, including the European Cup in Bavaria.

But will he return to the Premier League? Let’s consider Karim Benzema, Thiago Silva, Luka Modric, Cristiano Ronaldo, Toni Kross and Lionel Messi, among others.

They were/or are still at a very high level after the age of 34 so there is every chance for Kane to return to the Premier League and break Alan Shearer’s record.
