Netflix is about to release a true crime documentary that is sure to be a word of mouth hit.
The streaming service has a history of highlighting little-known stories that have disturbed and appalled viewers.
Lately, girl in the picturea film about a young mother whose tragic death followed the kidnapping of her son shocked people so much that viewers warned of potential viewers.
Director Skye Borgman is behind the brand new three-part series, called I just killed my father.
The Netflix synopsis reads: “Anthony Templet shot his father and never denied it. But why he did it is a complex question with profound implications that go well beyond one family.”
Attitude I just killed my father Aside from the rest, Templet himself features as the talking head in the documentary.
In the trailer, he can be heard saying, “I shouldn’t be charged with anything because I didn’t do anything wrong.”
Templet’s mysterious and troubled upbringing with his father, Bert, is hinted at in the trailer, which ends with the 911 call he made in 2019, during which he confessed to authorities, “I just killed my father.”
I just killed my father will be available to stream on Netflix on August 9th.
