“My fiance and I have a harmonious family. He has two daughters from a previous marriage and I have a son from a past relationship,” she began.

“Not long after the birth of our second daughter, my fiancé had a vasectomy.

“He and I also have a 5-month-old baby boy. His conception came as a shock to both of us, so my fiancé went in for a sperm count.

“He’s short, but he has some possible people. We love our son and I can’t imagine life without him.

“But my fiancé made life a living hell. When she found out I was pregnant, she tried to convince him that I cheated on him.

“She advised him not to live with me until after the birth and asked him to get paternity tested.”

The woman later claimed that after her mother-in-law had “done some research”, she concluded that they were “too hard” to conceive.

Although his mother was very vocal about the situation, the fiance denied any notion that his son’s mother was unfaithful.

This then frustrated the mother-in-law and completely alienated her teenage grandson.

The mother continued: “So she didn’t go to the bathroom for our baby, didn’t show up at the hospital to give birth, or even send a card.

“We didn’t finish the test and didn’t have a plan. Our son looked exactly like his dad when he was a kid.

“My mother-in-law caught the wind that my parents visited the baby recently because they live in the country and were very angry.

“She suddenly wanted to be a concerned grandmother and claimed I was the one to ‘keep her from her only grandson.”

“And that ‘most women would kill to be related to grandparents.”

But the mother didn’t have it. She needed an apology from her mother-in-law.

She continued: “She said she was ‘just trying to protect her son’ and I would do the same if I were in her position.

“But I’m clearly not apologizing, no honey. My fiancé is annoyed with our fight and has to choose sides.

“He agreed she was unacceptable but said she would never really apologize and I needed to compromise or this would never end.

“I’ve heard from others that I need to ‘become greater.’

“Honestly I’m tired of arguments but I can’t forgive her accusations so easily. Half of his family thinks I’m a catty scammer because of her. “

Most of the comments left on her post defended her decision to keep her son away from her mother-in-law until she received a sincere apology.

One even suggested: “She wants to ‘matchmaker’ so she can do paternity testing without your consent.”

A second reassured: “You absolutely don’t need to be an adult here.

“I swear it’s a phrase created by people who don’t want to be held accountable for the abuse.”

“I wouldn’t be the bigger guy in this either,” a third admitted.
