“I couldn’t take the pain anymore”: Britney Spears comments on the separation from her husband
In her first statement since Wednesday’s news that she and Sam Asghari – to whom she has been married for just over a year – are divorcing, Britney Spears herself confirms the split and says she is so strong right now, as she can be.
In a post to InstagramAlong with a signature video of her dancing at her home, Spears writes, “As everyone knows, Hesam and I are no longer together… 6 years is a long time to be with anyone so I’m a little shocked but… me.” I’m not here to explain why because honestly it’s nobody’s business!!! But honestly I couldn’t take the pain anymore!!! In a kind of telepathic way I received so many messages from friends and I that melted my heart Thank you very much !!! I’ve been doing it strong for far too long and my Instagram may seem perfect but it’s far from reality and I think we all know that!!! I would love to show my feelings and tears as I really am I feel but for some reason I always had to hide my weaknesses!!! If I wasn’t my father’s strong soldier I would be sent to places to be treated by doctors!!! But then I needed family the most! !! Thou shalt be loved unconditionally…not on conditions!!!! So I will be as strong as I can and do my best!!! And I’m actually doing damn good!!! Anyway, have a nice day and don’t forget to smile!!!”
Although Spears signed a prenuptial agreement to secure her income and property, page six Asghari is rumored to be threatening to release embarrassing information and video footage of the singer unless she pays him a significant sum of money. In response, his rep issued a statement to the broadcaster, saying: “There have been many allegations that Sam is contesting the marriage contract and threatening to exploit his ex-wife with videos. However, all of these claims are false as he has no negative intent.” was ever aimed at her and never will be. Sam has always supported her and always will.
