I am a teacher and was shocked by the contents of a children’s backpack

A teacher was horrified when she heard a scratching noise coming from one of her student’s backpacks – only to discover a live animal.

A video shows the woman rummaging in her bags to find the source of the rustling and her shocked reaction.

She wrote on the video: “While the kids were at the gym, my co-teacher and I worked on the computer in silence.

“We kept hearing scratching noises, so we had to examine all the backpacks.”

The woman can be heard exclaiming, “I think it’s a live turtle. Look in the back of his backpack.”

The shocked teacher searching the bags replies, “No!”

The filming woman zooms in on the turtle and says, “Poor thing. Why is it in there? Oh my God! What do we do?”

In the clip, another teacher comes in to remove her from behind and laughingly says the little boy talked to her about the turtle for “about half an hour,” but she didn’t realize he was actually in his have bag.

Many people were shocked by the clip, with one saying: “My kid will do that one day. I just know it.”

Another added: “Meanwhile mom is back home desperately trying to figure out what to say to her child because she can’t find the turtle.”

And a third wrote: “Tell me you’re a kindergarten teacher without telling me you’re a kindergarten teacher.”
