A MUM explains that she is a “marginal mother” and that she thought she was making progress with other parents until her son pointed out her fault.
At first, the mother sat down and was greeted with a polite conversation and thought the situation was slowly changing until her child told her she was sitting with the opposing team’s parents.
She explained the half-happy, half-sad story above TikTok.
The delighted mother posted a short video titled: “Definition: Fringe Mom – the mother that no other moms really talk to.”
In the short clip, the mother is shown playing sports with no one else sitting near her.

She said: “Fringe mom at the soccer tournament. No one sat on this side of me and no one sat on the other side of me.
“But that’s not the funniest part of this story. So I sat next to other moms from the start and they were really nice.
“They said: ‘Hi, how are you? Isn’t today a nice day?’
“And I was like wow, what’s going on? Something’s changed here.
“My son came and said to me: ‘Mom, you’re on the wrong pitch, these are the opposing team’s parents.”
She ended her story with a hilarious comment: “That’s right, it all makes sense now, fringe!”
TikTokers members were quick to step in with their comments on the situation.
