Humboldt High School Shooting – One dead and another injured in gym horror shooting during basketball game in Tennessee

A PHOTOGRAPHY is still growing after a melee at a high school basketball game in Humboldt, Tennessee left one person dead and another injured.

The shooting is believed to have occurred in the lobby of the Humboldt High School gymnasium. Students gather at the school to compete against Northside High School.

The names of the two people shot have yet to be released by law enforcement.

Paramedics and police were on the scene as the injured person was transported to Memphis Hospital for treatment.

According to local reports, the shooting stemmed from an altercation between two adults. The school district said no students were involved and no students were injured.

Authorities are still arresting the suspect.

According to an announcement from the Humboldt City School System, Wednesday classes at the high school, and all other school-related activities that day, have been cancelled.

“An investigation by the local government and additional information regarding the incident is underway.” read statement.
