HPD says one woman and one man killed in multiple vehicle crashes north of Houston

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) – At least two people have died after a head-on collision involving multiple vehicles north of Houston.

Police say the crash happened at 7:10 p.m. Monday at the 11600 block of Bannister Lane. A Dodge truck was traveling west in Little York when the driver lost control, crossed the median, and crashed into a Kia, and a trailer that was towing another vehicle.

A neighbor told ABC13 he heard four bangs just outside his home. He said he ran outside and called 911.

According to police, a woman who was ejected from the Dodge truck died at the scene. Meanwhile, the van driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital.

The second person killed was the driver of the Kia. No other injuries have been reported.

Police believe speed played a factor in the crash, but are still investigating.
