The long awaited Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga has made its presence felt, giving LEGO gaming franchise fans a chance to live their wildest Jedi dreams.
In addition to being able to play unforgettable films owned by LucasFilm, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga offers a host of new features that take the LEGO experience to a new level.
One of the many new features implemented in the latest LEGO offering is the idea of adding character classes to the game. Although there are three of these in total, players have found that one in particular has excellent benefits.

The Scavenger ability allows players to get past puzzles on their journeys.
What is the Scavenger ability?
The Scavenger ability is one of the character classes from the Skywalker saga that grants the player the ability to travel through less traveled roads, Navigate forbidden paths and solve mission-based puzzles throughout gameplay.
You may have noticed blocked paths in your travels since playing the new LEGO entry and have probably been confused as to what that means.
Well, to navigate these you need the Scavenger ability.

How to unlock scavenger skills
There are three Scavenger Abilities in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.
In order to unlock these exploration-based abilities, you’ll have to push yourself to do it The Force Awakens, the Episode VII story mission entitled Scraps for Scraps.
You need to Gather around 20 pieces of scrap scattered around the location known as the Niima Outpost during this mission.
Once done, you will be given the power to create all the scavenger tools, with the ability to cycle through them if needed.
Lastly, you’ll be faced with a tutorial that will teach you how to use the Glider, Breaker Blaster, and Net Launcher you just created, and once that’s complete you’ll have unlocked the tools for the rest of the game.
As an alternative to this method, players can also get their hands on the three tools by playing as Wicket in the “The Chewbacca Defense” level in Episode VII, Return of the Jedi. Fun fact.

How to use scavenger abilities?
Now that you have your prized scavenger tools, let’s discuss how to use them properly:
- If you’re playing as the Scavenger character, hold Circle/B to bring up the tools menu
- Select your desired article between the three scavenger tools
- Once chosen, you can use each ability indefinitely
