i am a celebrity… Get me out of here! is in full swing, with a new group of candidates vying to be made king or queen of the castle.

Many viewers have wondered what the price of winning the series is.

Unfortunately for the contestants, there is no cash prize for winning i am a celebrity.

Instead, they are simply called the King or Queen of the Jungle (or King or Queen of the Castle, as has been the case in Wales for the last two years).

The celebrities are paid a set fee to appear on the show, but this amount varies from contestant to contestant, not all being known.

There have been reports that Boy George will make history this year with the highest fee ever paid to a star for appearing on the show. It is estimated that he could earn £600,000.

It is speculated that most celebrities will make upwards of £30,000 by going to the jungle.

The number goes up and up depending on how famous and sought after that celebrity is.
