The pair work with a cast headed by Hillary Duff and featuring Kim Cattrall.

The show begins in 2050 with a mother played by Cattrall calling her son and saying, “I want to tell you the story of how I met your father.”

Her story is told in a series of flashbacks to 2022, in which Duff stars as her young self.

“We were all a little scared,” admitted Tom Ainsley. “And, we all got together and picked each other up when we failed.”

“How I Met Your Father” is streaming on Hulu, which is owned by the same parent company as the station.
