How Everton can line up under Wayne Rooney as Derby boss hits Man Utd for season-saving transfers

WAYNE ROONEY could become boss of his boyhood club if Everton sack under manager Rafa Benitez.
The Toffees are 14th in the Premier League with just one win in their last ten outings.
And Everton’s poor form could get Benitez sacked and Rooney gives his first top flight manager job.
Benitez spent under £2m over the summer, bringing in Demarai Gray, Andros Townsend, Asmir Begovic, Andy Lonergan and Solomon Rondon.
In particular, Gray and Townsend have brought good returns in terms of money.
But the rest of them failed to make an impact.
If Rooney replaces Benitez, he might find a way to raid Derby and former club Manchester United in January to turn Everton’s season around.
United have a number of fringe stars who could do a job for Coffee.

Jesse Lingard, Phil Jones and Donny van de Beek All have seen limited game time this semester.
The trio have only 628 minutes between them across all competitions.
Lingard proved his worth at West Ham last season, scoring nine goals and providing five assists in a four-month period.
But stay United over the summer to try and fight for his place, which he failed to do.
If Everton sign Lingard, if he can repeat the form he showed for the Hammers, he could give the Toffees the lead.
Lingard can play in midfield for Everton or across the front lines.
Ready runner-up Van De Beek could form a formidable triple midfield alongside Allan and Abdoulaye Doucoure.
And Phil Jones can produce some brave displays in the backline.
Everton could also choose Brandon Williams, who is on an unsuccessful loan spell with league champions Norwich.
Rooney could also find a way to bring in Derby starting Tom Lawrence, who like Lingard can play in the front three.
And with Derby still at the helm, a deal may not be too difficult to strike.
