Houston Traffic: Woman Arrested for DWI After Driving Wrongly for 11 Miles on I-10 East

Houston Transtar cameras captured some of the 11-mile wild rides before 3 a.m. Thursday.
According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, the woman was driving east on the westbound lane of the freeway.
“The unit went the wrong way,” first responders reported as they worked to stop the woman. “North 13, she’s in four apartments. We’re going east 17 mph at Garth Road.”
Officers were able to use nail strips to flatten the woman’s tire and bring her to a halt. They also closed the freeway at North Main to ensure no collisions.
Delegates did not know exactly where the woman had gone the wrong way on the freeway.
Luckily no one was injured.
