Houston traffic: 1 dead after pickup truck hit dump truck and caught fire in north Harris County

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) — One person was killed when a pickup truck struck the back of a dump truck Friday morning in northern Harris County.

Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said his deputies were responding to a serious accident at the 14100 block of Chrisman Road near Aldine Bender in which a pickup truck struck the back of a dump truck, overturned and caught fire.

One person died at the scene.

The sheriff said it was not immediately known if there were other people in the vehicles.
