Houston police hunt for suspect who stole over $100K worth of items in a Galleria heist

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) – Authorities are hunting for a man caught stealing from a business in the Galleria area.

The theft took place on December 27 at 9 a.m. in the 5000 block of Westheimer Street. Surveillance footage from the scene shows the unidentified man stealing the premises and leaving the building with the stolen items.

In total, the items the suspect took were worth $115,214.53, police said. Video shows the suspect leaving the scene in an unknown direction.

Houston police did not disclose the name or type of business, nor any details about what was stolen.

Crime Stoppers is offering up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest of a suspect. Anyone with information is encouraged to call 713-222-TIPS (8477).
