Houston Police Department Chief Troy Finner tests positive for COVID-19 and is showing mild symptoms

On Wednesday, Chief Troy Finner took to social media to say he tested positive for the virus in the afternoon.

“(Tuesday) I learned that I may have been at risk for the virus that causes COVID-19,” he said in a statement on Twitter. “(Wednesday) I found out I tested positive.”
Although Finner has tested positive, he said his symptoms are mild and he will be isolating at home and getting some rest. He is also urging everyone who has been around him since Saturday to get tested as well.
