Houston police arrested 8 suspects for celebrating shooting after NYE

In a press release, Houston Police Chief Troy Finner announced eight suspects charged with aggravated assault and charged with a felony.
“As Mayor Turner, Fire Chief Pena and I told the community at a press conference this week, there is nothing to celebrate about gunfire and shots fired into the air. We insist. how dangerous it is and how illegal it is. I told our community that we went after those who ignored our pleas and who decided instead going to make a terrible and costly decision,” said Chief Finner.
One of those shots even injured a family member.
Just days before New Year’s Eve, officials held a press conference urging people to consider their neighbors when celebrating the new year.
