Houston police are investigating a man found dead near the Gulf Freeway in the city’s southeast

Around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, an HFD unit was on Cullen Boulevard and making their way back to the station when they discovered the body of a man.
Homicide investigators are at the scene of a man who was found dead around 1:30 p.m. in a field on the 2000 block of Cullen Blvd near Gulf Fwy Service Road.
Preliminary information is that the man, believed to be in his 30s, suffered trauma to his body. Please avoid the area.#housenews pic.twitter.com/IrfzhvFOn1

Police said the crew went to check on the man and found him dead. It’s unclear how the man died, but police said the man appeared to have suffered blunt force trauma.
According to initial information from the police, the man is said to be around 30 years old.
The investigations are still ongoing.
