Houston holidays: Taylor Dayne headlines Trusted Mayor’s Holiday Lights Mayor will be spectacular in 2021

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) – Feeling up to the holiday spirit? Even if you haven’t been successful yet, this can be helpful.

Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner and Belieant kicked off the holiday season with the in-person return of their family vacation event, Mayor Belieant Lights’ spectacular Holiday event on Saturday, December 4. The free event will take place from 6pm to 8pm at Hermann Square at City Hall. Bring the whole family to live music and shows, towering treetop lights, and fun activities for all ages.

Mayor Turner said: “The Mayor Belieant Lights holiday is one of my favorite holiday events and I am delighted that it will once again be an in-person event for both parents and parents. and children”. “We’re grateful to all the generous donors who helped light up downtown and share the spirit of the holiday with the community.”

Pop icon Taylor Dayne will lead the event, showcasing the hits of her three-decade career. Taylor’s breakthrough debut single “Tell It to My Heart” made her an overnight star in 1987. She later went on to be a huge hit with 17 Top 20 singles.

Additional performances will include Port Arthur native DeAndre Nico; Houston-born sisters, Shelby and Carley Nunn; Houston Contemporary Dance Company; The Salvation Army Team Band; Carver High School Dance Company; and Ernest Walker and the Official Holiday Band. The event will also create awareness of the benefits of Toys for Tots for the Houston Food Bank and Disney’s Ultimate Toy Drive.
