Houston Crime: Woman sitting in car was killed by gunman in black SUV on Gulf Freeway, police say
HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — Police are searching for a gunman who police said killed a woman in southeast Houston.
Officials said the woman was shot dead while riding in a car at Block 8100 of the Gulf Freeway around 7:40 p.m. Monday.
A black SUV with non-government license plates stopped and someone started shooting. Police said the possible suspect could be a young black man.
The woman is said to have been in her 30s. Police said she was in the car with her boyfriend and two children, one a teenager and the other about a year old.
Police were unable to determine if there was a motive.
