Houston Crime: Suspect shot as US sheriffs serve order at motel on North Highway

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) – Authorities are investigating a shooting that injured a suspected U.S. Marshal on a felony warrant at a motel in northern Harris County.

The incident occurred shortly before 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Express Inn located in the 16600 block of the North Freeway.

According to the Harris County Intersection 4, US sheriffs with the Gulf Coast Violent Crime Task Force were executing orders at the time, and the suspect was shot. The circumstances surrounding the shooting are still unclear.

The suspect’s identity and condition have not yet been released.

Residents are asked to avoid the area as the investigation is still ongoing.
