Houston crime: Gunman dragged victim into apartment before fleeing after deadly shooting in northeast Houston, HPD says

Around 11 p.m. Sunday, police said the victim and a woman arrived at the suspect’s apartment complex at the 5300 Collingsworth property near Lockwood in northeast Houston.
According to Houston police, they had an argument, possibly over a drug deal.
The victim was shot multiple times, and the suspect dragged him inside his apartment before fleeing.
The victim, who police said was about 20 years old, was pronounced dead at the scene.
“For some reason, the victim was wearing a ski mask. We don’t know why, so that’s what we’re trying to investigate,” said Lt. E. Pavel. “He was wearing a ski mask. That’s believed to be when the suspect panicked, shot him, dragged him inside the apartment and then sped off on foot.”
The woman who was with the victim was not injured, according to HPD.
Police did not provide a description of the wanted gunman.
