Houston COVID Testing: Delmar Stadium to Open as a Major Site Dec. 29

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) – With high demand for COVID tests during the holidays, the city of Houston is opening a large new driver testing site.

The new location will open at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Delmar Stadium, located at 2020 Mangum Rd., in partnership with the Houston Health Department and Curative.

While testing is always free, you will need to schedule an appointment through Healing by going online or call 1-888-702-9042 before you show up.

The site will be open daily from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. with an initial capacity of around 1,000 tests daily.

Note that the site will be closed on December 31 and January 1.

If you want to check in Houston and surrounding areas, there are many locations, and you can also go to CVS Health and Walgreens locations.
Remember that COVID testing is free, but you should always call ahead to verify availability, coverage, or make an appointment if needed.
