Paddy Considine has admitted his actions may have led to leaked plot details for the highly anticipated Game by Thones precursor house of the dragon.
The British actor stars in the upcoming HBO show alongside Matt Smith and Emma D’Arcy as his siblings King Viserys I Targaryen.
Speak with News.com.auConsidine, 48, revealed he’s left a couple house of the dragon Scripts “in a hotel bin”.
“They’re gone now. I didn’t alert anyone,” he said, adding, “I thought, ‘This is going to cause too much trouble.’ But nothing came out.”
“I’m good at keeping secrets, except when I’m leaving scripts in trash cans,” he said Peaky Blinders star quipped.
It’s surprising that Considine had access to printed copies of the scripts at all, considering the producersgame of Thrones has gone to great lengths to ensure no spoilers are revealed.
During an appearance in 2019 on Jimmy Kimmel Live!Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, who played Jaime Lannister, said the cast for game of Thrones the show’s script was sent via an app called Synchronize.
The app, he continued, self-destructed the files, so the actors couldn’t take screenshots either.
On Wednesday (17.08.) News.com.au also reported that Considine’s colleague Smith, 39, lobbied for actors to receive printed copies of it house of the dragon‘s script.
Smith plays Daemon Targaryen in the story, which takes place 200 years before the events of the original series.
Fabien Frankel, who also stars house of the dragonHe told the outlet, “Matt said, ‘You know, I think the most important thing for us is [is] where we go home, take our scripts and do the work that we need to do. And being able to text them and sleep with them and have them in the bath and whatever it is.
“And I don’t think we would have gotten the scripts if he hadn’t said that,” Frankel continued.
In a recent appearance with Considine on The Official Game of Thrones Podcast: House of DragonsSmith said he was trying to “tender” his character.
“I wanted to make it a little more delicate, more fragile. I think he’s a pretty fragile creature,” Smith said at the time.
