‘House of the Dragon’ didn’t have a title sequence – and fans are freaking out

Fans of the highly anticipated House of the Dragon TV series felt the lack of an epic opening sequence akin to Game of Thrones at Sunday night’s premiere.

Viewers watching the already controversial first episode of the HBO spinoff noted that the show got straight to the action, but lacked a title sequence performed by Ramin Djawadi.

The original “GoT” opening was a fan favorite as the intense instrumental took viewers through the fantasy world director Miguel Sapochnik and Djawadi brought to life.

Fans took to Twitter to offer their thoughts on the decision.

“House of the Dragon has a great pilot but no cool opening credits. pain,” one disappointed fan said.

A show insider also told The Post that the lack of an opening for the ‘GoT’ prequel series was a creative decision by the showrunners to let the story unfold immediately, adding that a sequence voiced by Djawadi could be used like a “delight.”
