According to witnesses, the driver, who has not been identified by police, was driving the powerful SVJ 63 before losing control and overturning.

The owner was trying to escape the burning wreck and flee the scene when the motorcycle exploded into a fiery ball of fire.

Emergency services were quickly on the scene to put out the blaze as car lanes were closed until the last wreckage was towed away.

Terrifying images later showed the fire had consumed most of the exterior, leaving only the chassis and wheels.

Currently, Mexican authorities say an investigation to find the owner of the Lamborghini is underway.

The high-speed crash happened just weeks after a tragic accident killed a Greek businessman.

Tzortzis Monoyios, 45, owner of two clothing stores on the resort island of Mykonos, crashed his $200k Ferrari into a tree in Voula, a suburb Greekcapital city of Athens.

The businessman had only bought his powerful sports car before and had driven only 3 km (2 miles) before losing control and swerving off the road.

Tzortzis’ body was pulled from the car and taken to the morgue in Voula.

His wife, Athina Kontopanou was in the car with him at the time.

She was helped from the burning wreckage by Greek singer Stan, who witnessed the tragedy happen while driving behind.
