HOLLY Willoughby ‘almost threw up’ after accidentally witnessing the Dancing On Ice star’s gruesome injury.
Connor Ball had to be pulled off the ice after last week’s show to have 19 stitches in his leg.
The Vamps star, 25, fell onto the ice with partner Alexandra Schaumann during their pirate themed dance.
The musician was left with a bloody wound after the fall, and Dancing On Ice fans got a glimpse of the chaos after he came off the ice.
Paramedics took him backstage with cameras showing him getting 19 stitches in his shin – a Dancing on Ice record.
“I was lying there in my boxer shorts and a pirate wig,” said Connor before his appearance in front of the camera this week in the package.
Fans begged him to stay upright this week and he pulled it off with an adorable dance.
He delivered a provisional skate to Cecilia von Simon and Garfunkel, scoring 35 out of 40 points.
Afterward, he told the judges: “It’s been a tough week,” and Oti Mabuse quipped: “You gave a full performance without getting injured!”
Following his skate this week, hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby revealed his injuries were causing “Holly nausea”.
“It’s been a tough week… a lot of pain and numbness,” he explained.
Phillip told him: “Holly and I made the mistake of looking over the balcony and watching you get stitches, that was cruel.”
The judges loved his performance and admitted his injuries may have kept him from trying anything more adventurous.
They earned an overall score of 35, with Christopher Dean telling him, “I can’t wait to see you next week.”
The viewers watching at home were over the moon with Connor’s successful dance.
“19 stitches and he still smashed it!” wrote a fan on Twitter.
Another added: “Omggg like Con broke one #DancingOnIce Record most tricks.”
And a third wrote: “19 stitches holy shit.”
So far, the DOI competition has pushed him to his limits.
He’s suffered a couple of nasty falls on the live shows along the way, including when his chin started bleeding live on air.
Paralympian Stef Reid delivered a Mack and Mabel-inspired routine that viewers saw in black and white as a nod to the Hollywood-set story of the musical. She scored 36.5 out of 40 points
