‘He’s better than that’: Agbonlahor urges Arsenal’s £25m star not to leave despite potential exit

Gabby Agbonlahor has urged Kieran Tierney to stay at Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal and reject an alleged transfer to Real Sociedad.
While Arsenal have made progress as a club over the past 12 months and are aiming to compete again ahead of the new Premier League season.
Someone like Kieran Tierney stood his ground as he watched the likes of Oleksandr Zinchenko and now Jurrien Timber play in front of him.
Hence the future of the £25million Scotland star (Sky Sports) has been considered, including a potential move to Spanish side Real Sociedad, but Agbonlahor made it clear he was ‘better than that’, as he said talkSPORT (8/9/23 at 8:50 p.m.).
Considering Arsenal are back in the Champions League this season. Will Tierney’s playing time improve if he decides to stay there?
Former Aston Villa striker Agbonlahor agrees as he believes the 26-year-old should play ‘every week’.

“Don’t think Tierney is better than that (move to Real Sociedad),” Agbonlahor said. “He’s a good player.
“I think if you look at the Community Shield this season, Timber, the new signing, played at left-back. He looks good. Zinchenko also has to come back.
“He should be playing every week, Tierney. Not every now and then.”

Tierney should stay at Arsenal
Yes, Timber played at left-back against Manchester City in Arsenal’s Community Shield, but most likely he will be fighting for the spot at right-back.
If that’s the case then the Dutch star will break into midfield from the right flank, allowing the man on the left, in this case Tierney, to provide width at the other end.
That wasn’t possible last season because Ben White can’t play that role. So stay aboard Tierney because the minutes will quickly be back in your tank.
