The sheriff said a co-pilot loaded Myre into their car after the shooting, but he died on the way to the hospital.

An online petition has surfaced calling for the school’s football stadium to be renamed after Myre.

“Tate was not only a hero to his students at Oxford High School, but a legend. His act of bravery should be remembered forever and passed down through generations. study,” the petition said.

Madisyn Baldwin, 17 years old
