Helen Skelton: Who is the Strictly Come Dancing 2022 contestant and what is she famous for?

The hit BBC reality series unveiled a whole new roster of contestants for 2022, including TV presenters, athletes and pop stars.

Among the contestants competing for the Glitterball trophy this year is Helen Skelton. She is linked to Gorka Márquez.
But who is Skelton and what did she say about her performance? Strict?
Skelton, 39, is best known as the co-host of the BBC children’s series Blue Peter from 2008 to 2013 and presented on country file since 2014.
She is currently appearing on the Channel 5 show On the farm, and she is also a regular on the radio, having filled in for Dermot O’Leary and OJ Borg on BBC Radio 2. The broadcaster has also just been announced as the presenter of BBC Radio 5’s new live Sunday morning programme.
Skelton is no stranger Strictafter participating in a Christmas special of the show in December 2012, where she came in second to JLS star JB Gill.
The stars Summer on the farm Co-host Martin Hughes-Games recently joked that the bosses went further than they expected by recruiting Skelton to the show.
“It’s a bit dodgy working with Helen,” said the Wildlife presenter The sunAnd adds: “She’s a safe pair of hands, but needs to be reined in a bit because she tends to be wild.”
He added: “We have someone from Channel 5 Compliance on the South Yorkshire set who is telling her not to say too many naughty things. Although, of course, there’s always the possibility that she might.”

In April, Skelton announced that her ex, Richie Myler, had “left the family home” just four months after the birth of their third child.

“It is very sad to say that Richie and I are no longer a couple,” she wrote. “He left the family home. We will do our best to raise our young children together.” They had been married since 2013.
speaking in front of her Strict Skelton said she was “really excited to dive into a fun adventure.”
She’s looking forward to “Strict-fied” (essentially covered in glitter). “That’s what I’m here for!” said Skelton. “I have three children under the age of seven, a very energetic dog and have lived in a renovated house for almost three years Strict-fy me up please!”
By week four, Skelton’s Paso Doble was doing quite well with the judges, who said she needed more “confidence”. She left her score at 29 points overall and did not end up in the dance-off.
The following week, Skelton’s Charleston performed Blue Peter theme tune, was well received by the jury, earning a score of 35.
This was followed by a foxtrot to “Lil’ Red Riding Hood” by Sam the Sham & The Pharaohs for Halloween week, a performance that earned a score of 32.
In week eight, Skelton got the party going with her salsa. She scored 32 points.
